Christmas shopping with Orient Express

The Orient Express prepared a very special train, which can help you with Christmas shopping. If you don’t like the stress and strain of Christmas shopping in busy London high streets, you can try the trip named “Shopping on the Rails” on the board of the iconic British Pullman.

A host of the very best of British luxury retailers have been invited to display their products onboard the decorated carriages of British Pullman and will offer advice to guests looking for inspiration for ideal Christmas gifts.

At first, the guests will be welcomed onboard to enjoy a four course lunch whilst travelling through Kent countryside. Afterwards, they will be free to explore the train to find luxurious British brands – Harrods, Brora (Scottish cashmere), Cath Kidston (luxury prints), Ettinger (leather goods and accessories), Miller Harris (luxury fragrances), Liberty (scarves, ties, stationery, scarf cushions…), Holland & Holland (not only the well known guns, but also gifts and accessories, associated with the shooting world – I will mention about Holland & Holland in the next post), Astley Clarke (jewellery) and Daniel Sandler (cosmetics) – all showcasing a wide selection of their products and providing expert advice and inspiration.

I think, this is a very good opportunity to combine shopping with relaxation onboard of the iconic British Pullman.

The ‘Shopping on the Rails’ trip costs £300 per person and departs from London Victoria on Thursday 1st December 2011.
